Lindley Spends Christmas At Home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 23, 2003) Professional Bull Rider (PBR) Beau Lindley was able leave the Scottsdale Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital on December 21st and return to his Apache Junction, Ariz. home for Christmas. Lindley has been working diligently with the staff at the Arizona rehabilitation facility after being transported there from Columbus, OH on the tenth of November. Lindley, who sustained a contusion to his spinal cord and damaged his C5 and C6 vertebra during the Lonestar Steakhouse & Saloon Columbus Invitational in October, has been working steadily toward recovery.

While physicians continue to remain cautiously optimistic regarding his recovery, Lindley has recently experienced pain in his feet. While it doesn't sound pleasant, the sensation is actually a positive sign according to close family friend Cody Custer of Wickenburg, Ariz. Lindley will continue rehabilitation from his home for the next six weeks, after which time he will work toward recovery while traveling to an outpatient facility.

Lindley and his family are able to celebrate Christmas together in their home after a lengthy forced absence. Custer, who is been in close contact with the Lindley family since the injury, sees the move home for Lindley as one more step in the recovery process.

An online auction benefiting Lindley is scheduled to begin on January 16th at which time interested individuals will have one month to place their bids on donated items.
