Jody Newberry has been riding bulls since he was fifteen in Ada, Oklahoma. Standing 6'2-1/2" tall, Newberry is built more like a basketball player standing however Jody is a cowboy through and through. His passions include training horses, roping and of course bull riding. One of his first victories was made on a bull by the name of Unforgiven. Newberry stated, "No one thought I could ride him, myself included." But 91 points later, Jody walked away with a victory and although he had doubts, he was forgiven. This year alone Newberry has taken the Professional Bull Riders by storm. In the Built Ford Tough Series Jody has had four top five finishes in addition to tying for the event champion at the Baltimore Invitational. With his success in the arena, Jody is up for the Rookie of the Year award and his chances are looking great. Newberry is not only good at what he does but he makes every second count.
